Psychology Today: PT provides an online database of licensed therapists and psychologists. You can sort through mental health professionals by their specialty (example: anxiety disorder), gender, type of insurance, and other categories.

GoodTherapy.org: a resource for finding many types of therapists, including Licensed Addiction Counselors (LAC) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), in addition to licensed family therapists and psychologists.

Anxious: Using the Brain to Understand and Treat Fear and Anxiety, by Joseph Ledoux: this excellent book goes into great depth about the history of diagnosis, the current understanding of diagnosis, and a summary of treatment methods used to help people understand and heal their anxiety.

Art & Fear: Observations on the Perils (and Rewards) of Artmaking, by David Bayles and Ted Orland: so much of making art of any kind requires a certain vulnerability and practice overcoming fear. This book is insightful, encouraging, and a must-read for any artist struggling with fears about their artmaking.

The Artist’s Way, by Julie Cameron: written in the form of a workbook, The Artist’s Way breaks down the inhibitions that artists struggle with, dissecting the emotional and mental components of artmaking, and living in general.
