We all have a shared human experience. We each possess an incredible consciousness that is able to interact with the past, function within the present, and project the idea of a future. This complex awareness of our mortality and sense of self is able to propel us to the highest pinnacle of joy, and just as able to plunge us into the depths of a despair.
The marvel of this consciousness is that it is capable of startlingly opposite extremes. The same mind that constructs corrosive coping mechanisms in response to traumatic experiences is capable of unraveling those same mechanisms and developing healthy responses. In summary, humans are amazingly constructed creatures with an infinite capacity for growth and change.
